The Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) is pleased to announce it will be organizing an international conference entitled "International Conference on Arbitration & ADR in the Construction Industry" on the 13th and 14th November 2005 at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) at the main conference hall. Hosted in cooperation with the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) and the European International Contractors (EIC), this 2-day conference will bring together highly esteemed construction industry experts from all over the world to examine construction dispute resolution procedures, with a high emphasis on the Middle Eastern region.
Ignited by UAE’s booming construction market, the aims of this forthcoming conference are to examine current developments in the law and practice of arbitration and mediation in settling construction disputes, the many challenges faced by lawyers, arbitrators and all practitioners in the building industry and most importantly the contribution that international arbitration centers are making to the establishment of competent dispute resolution mechanisms in this sector. This international conference will bring together highly esteemed industry experts from all over the world to examine the various dispute resolution procedures available to the construction industry, with a particular emphasis to the Middle Eastern region.
The conference will be divided into a series of discussion panels covering issues ranging from recent developments in construction contracts to disputology & risk in the Gulf along with detailed presentations on the most recurring claims in this region.
